Loaded with the flavors of fall and less than 10 minutes to make, this Apple Butter Pull-Apart Loaf is excellent as an addition to breakfast or for a dessert treat!
The anticipation for fall is building as is my desire to bake and cook all things cozy and delicious! For those who aren't a fan of pumpkin, I heard your plea to create my Pumpkin Spice Loaf in a pumpkin puree-free version.
This not only transported me to Autumn, but it also brought back yummy memories of the Cinnamon Bread at Dollywood. Just like their bread, this apple cinnamon bread is simple to make and makes your house smell incredible! It has the flavors of apple pie, Cinnamon Toast Crunch and a cinnamon roll all in one. Even without the glaze, it makes for a delicious addition to a special occasion breakfast or treat.
Another incredible fall apple recipe favorite is the deep-dish baked Apple Pan Dowdy! It’s loaded with apples, has the perfect cinnamon sugar kiss, and is topped with an buttery pie crust.

HOW TO MAKE THIS RECIPE
- In a small bowl, stir together apple butter, chopped apples, egg, brown sugar, vanilla and pumpkin pie spice and cinnamon.
- Split the biscuits horizontally by gently peeling them apart at the middle layer.
- To build the loaf, tilt the pan at a slightly upward angle on one short end. Create the loaf layers by starting with a biscuit dough halve that’s been coated on both sides with Cinnadust. Lay the dough inside the pan on the short side laying on the counter. Add a tablespoon of the apple butter mixture on top of the dough in the center. Repeat these layers, coated biscuit then apple butter, ending with the last coated biscuit at the top short of the loaf pan.
- Bake 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is cooked through. The apple butter mixture will still be tender, but cooked.
- For the frosting, place cream cheese, powdered sugar, maple syrup, vanilla and pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon in a medium bowl. Mix with a hand mixer until smooth and creamy.
- Spread the frosting on top of the golden brown loaf.
