Tools You’ll Need
How to Make Million Dollar Dip
- In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese and mayonnaise until smooth and creamy.

- Fold in the shredded cheddar, green onions, toasted almonds, bacon, garlic, seasoning salt or salt and black pepper, and Italian seasoning (if using).

- Taste and adjust seasonings as desired.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (overnight is even better).
- Serve chilled with desired dippers.

Expert Tips
- Make sure your cream cheese is room temperature before mixing. This makes for even and easy combining of the ingredients so they flavors are equal throughout!
- Grate the cheddar cheese from scratch. Make sure you grate this from the block to get the best flavor and no gritty texture from the powdery coating some pre-shredded cheeses have.
- Add more spices if you please. If you like a little bit of heat, add a dash of hot sauce or cayenne pepper, you can also add smoked paprika, onion powder, even more garlic powder for even stronger flavor.
- Make sure you refrigerate it for at least 2 hours to marry the flavors. This helps the dip become so much more flavorful if it has time to rest in the fridge before serving.
- Swap the type of cheese. You can easily add in other cheeses like Monterey jack, pepper jack, white cheddar, even Swiss!
Storage
Store any leftover million dollar dip in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. When ready to serve, let it sit out for at least 10 minutes to be a nice scoopable consistency.
We don’t recommend freezing this dip as it can change both the texture and the flavor. But it is a great entertaining recipe to make in advance, up to the day before, to allow the flavors to get deeper with every bite.

How would the dip be with no almonds? I am allergic to tree nuts
It would be yummy still 🙂 You can also swap for another nut.
Hi Michelle, I did not put any nuts in mine. I brought it to a gathering of approx. 12 people and they cleaned it all up. Nothing but great feedback from the crowd, I guess that goes without saying since it disappeared! The only dry ingredient I put in was pepper as I had a sample before adding spices and felt it had enough salt from the bacon and the cheeses! It was delicious!!
Awwww!! That makes my heart so happy to hear!! Thank you SO much!!!🥰

I’ve been making this recipe for decades, literally, but instead of using silvered almonds I use roughly chopped Smokehouse Almonds. So good!
