Loaded with the flavors of fall and less than 10 minutes to make, this Apple Butter Pull-Apart Loaf is excellent as an addition to breakfast or for a dessert treat!

A loaf of apple butter bread.

The anticipation for fall is building as is my desire to bake and cook all things cozy and delicious! For those who aren't a fan of pumpkin, I heard your plea to create my Pumpkin Spice Loaf in a pumpkin puree-free version.

This not only transported me to Autumn, but it also brought back yummy memories of the Cinnamon Bread at Dollywood. Just like their bread, this apple cinnamon bread is simple to make and makes your house smell incredible! It has the flavors of apple pie, Cinnamon Toast Crunch and a cinnamon roll all in one. Even without the glaze, it makes for a delicious addition to a special occasion breakfast or treat.

    TIPS AND SUBSTITUTIONS

    • If you don't have refrigerated biscuit dough or would prefer a homemade dough, this Apple Butter Pull-Apart Bread recipe has a homemade dough version that you can integrate with my apple butter filling and frosting.
    • If you don't have Cinnadust, simply mix together ½ cup granulated sugar and 1-1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon.
    • The glaze can be omitted, if desired.
    • Apple butter can be store-bought or homemade. This Instant Pot Apple Butter is simple to make and yields a batch that can be canned for an extended shelf life or can be shared with others.

    STORAGE

Store leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container up to 4-5 days. Reheat leftovers in the microwave for 15-20 seconds.

    FAQ

What if my dough is golden brown but the inside needs more time to bake?

Simply cover the top with aluminum foil, and bake an additional 5-10 minutes.

Can I use flaky biscuits instead of southern-style?

While I prefer southern-style with this recipe, the flaky style will also work great!

How do I make the Cinnadust from scratch?

Mix together ½ cup granulated sugar and 1-1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon.

How do I make sure the dough doesn't stick to the pan?

You can ensure an easy dough release by buttering, spraying with non-stick cooking spray, or lining the pan with parchment paper.

Can this be made in a 9"x5" loaf pan?

Yes! That pan size will work as well.
