  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 13×9-inch baking dish with butter or nonstick spray.
  2. Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

  1. Evenly sprinkle half of the dry cake mix over the top of the strawberry layer.

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with granulated sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Dollop over the strawberry filling in small spoonfuls.

  1. Sprinkle the remaining dry cake mix over the cream cheese dollops. Gently pat to ensure it’s in an even layer.

  1. Pour the melted butter evenly over the top of the cake mix. Make sure to cover as much of the cake mix as possible, but don’t mix it together.
