Expert Tips

  • Soften your cream cheese for easy beating. This is key to combining the base mixture smoothly and evenly for the best taste and texture.
  • Make sure the sauce rests for 15 minutes after boiling. As the sauce cools, it will set and also not melt the cream cheese mixture underneath.
  • Chill the pecan pie dip correctly before serving. You want it to chill for the right texture and flavor in every bite.
  • Beat the heavy cream to stiff peaks for the cream cheese layer for a light and fluffy dip. Stiff peaks means that the whipped cream is able to stand on its own when you remove the beaters.

Storage

Store the dip in the fridge for up to 3 days. We don’t recommend freezing the dip as it will change the texture.

It’s a great recipe to make in advance since it needs to chill before serving.
