Store the leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. We don’t recommend freezing the leftovers as they will break and become runny when it thaws.

It’s a dessert salad found in the Midwest and the Southern United States. It’s said to originate in Minnesota and is made with layers of strawberry preserves, cookie crust, whipped topping, and fresh strawberries.
We recommend fresh for their texture. Frozen can often be watery once they thaw. If frozen are your best option, then thaw the berries and strain them through a sieve before chopping and adding them to the whipped cream mixture.
Of course! We use store bought whipped topping to make the recipe easy, but making your own whipped cream is definitely an option too.
