    In a mixing bowl, combine 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs, ¼ cup granulated sugar and ½ cup salted melted butter. Optional, add in ½ teaspoons pumpkin pie spice. Once the mixture resembles wet sand, transfer into a 9-inch pie or tart pan. Use the back of a spoon or your fingers to press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of the pan, creating an even crust. Place the crust in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to allow it to firm up.
