    Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use fresh cranberries instead of dried?

Fresh cranberries can be used, but they are much more tart and may change the texture of the bread. If using fresh, consider sautéing them with a bit of sugar to sweeten them before adding them to the dough.

How can I ensure my monkey bread bakes evenly?

Make sure to evenly distribute the biscuit pieces in then loaf or bundt pan. Also, it's helpful to check the internal temperature; it should reach at least 190°F (88°C) when done baking.

How do I know when my monkey bread is done baking?

The monkey bread is done when it's golden brown on top, and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Baking usually takes around 25-30 minutes.

Can I make monkey bread ahead of time?

Yes, you can assemble the biscuit portion of the monkey bread the night before, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate overnight. Just allow it to sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before baking and add the brown sugar sauce right before baking.
