    a spoonful of ranch seasoning

Ranch is the most popular dressing for a reason: It's DELICIOUS! While there are several store-bought versions I like and pick up when I'm in a hurry, nothing quite beats that homemade ranch goodness. Packed with the perfect blend of dried herbs, this mix is amazing as a seasoning on cooked meats or vegetables or blended as a salad dressing.

    Tips and Substitutions

    • Two tablespoons of this mix is the equivalent of 1 1oz package of store-bought ranch seasoning mix.
    • You can adjust the seasoning to your taste by adding more or less of any of the individual ingredients.
    • If you like thinner dressing, add more milk. Thicker, add less milk or more mayonnaise.
    • If you prefer a stronger ranch flavor, add more seasoning to your recipe!
    • The finer ingredients tend to settle in a bottle, so give it a good shake before measuring out the ingredients you need.

Yes! Some store-bought brands include gluten.

What makes homemade ranch seasoning better than a store-bought dressing?

Yes, you could. The buttermilk is what gives ranch that sour edge and adds to the thickness, but you can adjust it to your taste. A lot of ranch seasonings sold in store have dried buttermilk in the mixes.
