Servings: 16 Servings
- 1/2 Pure Flavor® Alonna™ Canary Melon
- 8 oz crescent roll dough
- 1/4 cup fig jam
- 4 oz round brie cut into 12 slices
- 1.5 oz prosciutto sliced
- 1 egg lightly beaten
- 2 tsp fresh thyme
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Garnish options: Pure Flavor® Alonna™ Canary Melon, grapes, rosemary sprigs, pomegranate arils
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Halve and remove the seeds of the melon. Set aside half for garnishing. To the remaining melon, trim off the skin and cut into thin 2-inch slices.
Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper. Unroll crescent rolls, separating each triangle. Slice each triangle longways into 2 separate triangles. Arrange the triangles in a candy cane shape form, with the short ends slightly overlapping and pointed ends all facing outwards. Flatten the wide ends slightly to create a base for the filling.
Spread fig jam on the base in a thin even layer. Top with brie, then prosciutto and melon. Fold the triangle tips over the filling and tuck under the base to secure. Brush the dough with the beaten egg and sprinkle with thyme and salt.
Bake 15-20 minutes or until the dough is golden brown. Transfer to a serving platter, and garnish as desired.
