Ingredients

  • 9 slices bacon
  • 8 oz mushrooms sliced
  • 1 small yellow onion thinly sliced
  • 1 package King's Hawaiian Slider Buns
  • ½-3/4 lb deli sliced chicken
  • 4 oz Colby Jack cheese slices
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise regular or light
  • 2 ½ tablespoon honey divided
  • 2 tsp dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoon butter room temperature

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350℉.
  • In a large skillet on medium high heat, cook bacon until crispy then remove from the pan.
  • Remove and discard all but 1 tablespoon of the bacon grease. Sauté the mushrooms and onion until tender, about 4-5 minutes. Remove from the skillet.
  • Build the sliders in a square baking dish starting with the slider bun base. On top of the base, evenly distribute the following ingredients in this order: deli chicken, sautéed mushrooms and onions, cheese slices and crumbled bacon.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons of the honey and dijon mustard. Once combined, evenly drizzle over the slider filling.
  • In another small bowl, blend together butter and remaining honey. Spread on the top side of the top buns, then lay the buns on top of the slider filling.
  • Dome and cover the dish with aluminum foil. Bake covered 30 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 5-10 minutes or until the buns are toasted. Garnish with green onion and a skewer if desired.
