Sprinkle evenly with Italian seasoning and salt. Cut ½” deep diagonal slashes on top of dough.
Bake 25-30 minutes or until deep golden brown. Remove from the oven and immediately run a knife along the bottom of the dough to prevent sticking.

Tips and Variations
Bakeware: If you don't have a round pan or stone, you can use a 12-cup fluted tube cake pan. Spray with cooking spray. Place both bread loaves in the pan in a circle. Pinch ends together. Bake 34-38 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly, then transfer the bread to a cooling rack. You can also bake it on a sheet pan in one long subway bread loaf.
Bread Seasoning Options: Besides the garlic egg wash and Italian seasoning, these are some yummy seasonings you can opt to add or substitute on your bread loaves: garlic powder, parmesan cheese, rosemary, sesame seeds, poppy seeds, every bagel seasoning, cheddar cheese, onion flakes, dried basil, dried dill, coarse salt, pumpkin seeds
Golden Bread Crust: You can also achieve a beautiful golden crust by brushing the bread with melted butter, olive oil, or milk instead of an egg wash.
