- 2 tsp Asian seasoning salt blend or salt and pepper
- 2 1/2-3 lb bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs or breasts
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup Tamari or soy sauce
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 3 tbsp hot honey or regular honey
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2-1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes optional
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
Season the chicken on both sides and underneath the skin with Asian seasoning salt blend or salt and pepper.
Heat oil in an oven-safe skillet on medium-high heat. Once hot, sear the chicken on both sides 5 minutes or until the skin is lightly browned.
In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, tamari, vinegar, honey and remaining seasonings. Once combined. Pour evenly over the par-cooked chicken thighs.
Transfer the skillet into the oven. Roast for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
Carefully remove the skillet from the oven and transfer the chicken to a serving plate. Place the skillet on the stove-top on medium-high heat. Cook the sauce, stirring often, until thickened and reduced by half. This should take about 5-8 minutes. Pour the glaze evenly over the chicken and serve with your favorite sides.
