Ingredients
2 teaspoonAsian seasoning salt blendor salt and pepper
2 ½-3lbbone-in, skin-on chicken thighs or breasts
2 tablespoonolive oil
½cupbrown sugar
½cupTamari or soy sauce
2tablespoonapple cider vinegar
3tablespoonhot honeyor regular honey
1teaspoongarlic powder
1teaspoonground ginger
½-1teaspooncrushed red pepper flakesoptional
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
Season the chicken on both sides and underneath the skin with Asian seasoning salt blend or salt and pepper.
Heat oil in an oven-safe skillet on medium-high heat. Once hot, sear the chicken on both sides 5 minutes or until the skin is lightly browned.
In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, tamari, vinegar, honey and remaining seasonings. Once combined. Pour evenly over the par-cooked chicken thighs.
Transfer the skillet into the oven. Roast for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
Carefully remove the skillet from the oven and transfer the chicken to a serving plate. Place the skillet on the stove-top on medium-high heat. Cook the sauce, stirring often, until thickened and reduced by half. This should take about 5-8 minutes. Pour the glaze evenly over the chicken and serve with your favorite sides.
