Baked Beans For A Crowd

Ingredients
 

  • 12 oz bacon diced
  • ¾ cup diced sweet onion
  • ¾ cup diced green bell pepper
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 3 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • ½ cup barbecue sauce
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup dijon mustard
  • 3-4 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 55 oz cans baked beans
  • Hot Sauce to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400ºF. 
  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat, and cook bacon until brown and crispy. Transfer to a paper towel lined plate and set aside. 
  • Remove all but 2-3 tablespoon of the bacon grease from the pan. Sauté the onion, pepper and garlic in the skillet for 1 minute. Add the paprika, chili powder, salt and pepper. Cook for 1 minute. Stir in vinegar, BBQ sauce, ketchup, mustard and brown sugar. Once combined, stir in the baked beans and cooked bacon. 
  • Bring to a boil, then turn off the heat. Add desired about of hot sauce and additional seasonings to taste.
  • Pour in an baking dish and bake 40-45 minutes, or until bubbly.
