Ingredients
4cups chicken broth
½cupwater
12 ouncesspaghetti or linguini
12ouncescherry or grape tomatoeshalved
2cupsthinly sliced onion about 1 large
4-6 garlic clovesthinly sliced
½-1teaspooncrushed red pepper flakes
½cupsliced fresh basilplus more for garnish
2tablespoonsolive oilplus more for garnish
2teaspoonssalt
½teaspoonground black pepper
Optional Addition: Freshly Grated Parmesan and a Cooked Protein
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in a large skillet. Bring to a boil over high heat.
Stir and fold the mixture frequently until pasta is al dente and liquid has nearly evaporated, about 8-10 minutes.
Taste and adjust seasonings to preference. Serve garnished with fresh basil, a drizzle of olive oil, and/or shredded Parmesan cheese. Top with a cooked protein if desired.
