Teriyaki for Two

It doesn’t get much easier than these flavorful meatballs. They can be made in the Crockpot or stovetop. This recipe is for 2-3 people but can also be doubled and cooked in a larger Crockpot.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz teriyaki sauce (I like Soy Vay Veri Veri Teriyaki)
  • 1 tbsp reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 8 oz can pineapple tidbits, drained
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 lb frozen meatballs
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 2 tsp water
  • Recipe

Preheat an air fryer or oven to 375°F. Pour meatballs on a sheet pan, and bake 14 minutes. Baking is optional as you can put them directly from the freezer into the Crockpot. To the Crockpot, whisk together teriyaki sauce, pineapple, soy sauce, and garlic. Fold in the meatballs, cover, and cook on high for 2-3 hours or low for 4-6 hours. Stir together cornstarch and water until dissolved and fold into the meatballs/sauce. Cook on high 5 minutes to allow sauce to thicken. Serve over rice, cauliflower rice, noodles, and your favorite veggies.
