One Pan Pepperoni Pizza Pasta & Garlic Cheddar Biscuits

My family and I agree, this pasta is really yummy, but adding your own pizzazz will elevate it to great. This is a fantastic recipe base model, so you could add cooked ground beef or Italian sausage and your favorite pizza veggies. With the garlic cheddar biscuits, it’ll be a hit for sure!

Ingredients

  • Pasta:
  • 16oz pasta
  • 6 cups marinara/water (you can use 3 cups each or 4 cups marinara with 2 cups water)
  • 5oz pepperoni (regular or turkey), reserve 8-12 for topping
  • 8oz shredded Italian or pizza cheese blend
  • Your own pizzazz options: chopped onion, bell pepper, olives, cooked ground beef or Italian sausage
  • Biscuits:
  • 2 1/2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1/2 cup butter, frozen 10 minutes
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • Topping:
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp chopped fresh parsley
  • Recipe

Pasta: Preheat the oven to 425°F. In a 13"x9" pan, stir together pasta, marinara, water, pepperoni and any additional pizzazz. Cover with aluminum foil and bake 25 minutes. Uncover, sprinkle evenly with cheese and reserved pepperoni, and return to the oven for 15 minutes. Biscuits: Preheat the oven to 425°F. To a large bowl, combine flour and grated frozen butter. Add cheddar, garlic powder, onion powder and parsley and combine well. Make a well in the center, pour in the buttermilk, and mix just until the dry ingredients are moistened. Using a large scoop, drop 15 biscuits on a greased baking dish or cast iron skillet. Bake 20-22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Melt butter in a small bowl, then stir in garlic powder and parsley. Brush the garlic butter mixture over the tops of the warm biscuits. *Note, if you’re making these with the pasta, bake as directed in instructions. If making these by themselves, bake at 475°F for 14-16 minutes.
