Crockpot Cube Steak

It’s 36° outside!! Brrr! I know many of you are used to these temperatures, but in east Texas, it was in the mid 70s just last week! Time for some yummy, cozy dishes for these cold Winter days.

Ingredients

  • 2-2 1/2 lb cube steak
  • salt and pepper
  • flour for dredging
  • 2-3 tbsp oil
  • 2 10.5 oz cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 10 oz milk
  • 1 envelope Lipton’s onion soup
  • 8 oz sliced mushrooms
  • Recipe

Heat a large fry pan on high with oil. Season cube steaks with salt and pepper and lightly dredge with flour. Sear both sides 2-3 minutes each. Work in batches if needed. To a crockpot, whisk together cream of mushroom soups, milk, onion soup mix, and mushrooms. Once the cube steaks are finished, add to the crockpot and cover with the sauce. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-5. Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.
