Christmas Strata

Did you know…Santa has about 842 million stops on Christmas Eve. He needs a good breakfast to get the energy for his big day. This is one of his favorites!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Bisquick
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage, cooked & drained
  • 1/3 cup onion, diced
  • 1 cup shredded mixed cheese
  • Recipe

    Add Bisquick, milk, eggs, salt, and pepper to a bowl or container sealed tightly. Whisk or shake until well combined. To a non-stick sprayed casserole dish, layer sausage, onion, cheese, then pour the egg mixture on top. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake uncovered at 400ΒΊF for 35-40 minutes. Cool 5 minutes before serving. Optional garnishes: salsa, sliced green onions, or hot sauce. *Note: I halved the recipe in the video.

    This was an absolute hit at our Christmas breakfast. The older kids loved it, and my picky nephew even asked for seconds. This is one I will cook many times in the future.
