It can warm up from the fridge in the time that it takes for the oven to preheat. Vanilla can be used instead of almond if desired. Adding both elevates this dish for most people, but it’s purely a flavor preference. I’ve also made this in a nonstick pan, stone and pyrex and they all turned out great 🙂

I agree! the almond extract made things worse. For newbie bakers/cookers, I would just make sure to use the real PYREX. It was a whole day ordeal for me baking this when I realized that and I had to wait for things to warm up from the fridge before putting it in the oven.
